Mendeoloa S4/S5 Series Transaxles
When Mendeola introduced the MD series of transaxles, they opened up a new realm of possibilities for engine and chassis builders. Not surprisingly, it wasn't long before a new generation of cars was exceeding the MD transaxle's limits. Again, the Mendeola design team stepped up to the plate, this time starting with a clean sheet of paper. The result was the Mendeola S4 and S5 sequential series. Moving away from the Volkswagen gear stacks entirely, these units are sequentially shifted with much bigger gears, larger bearings, and a full size reverse gear. Available in four and five speed configurations, these versatile transaxles are perfect for high horsepower V-8 applications.
