HV1 Transaxle Has an Epic First Year

Goleta CA, January 4, 2011 — The Weddle Industries HV1 Transaxle has had a fantastic first year in production. The mileage covered and the race results greatly exceeded our expectations. From Wide Open Baja tour cars in Cabo San Lucas to sand cars on the Oregon Coast, the HV1 has garnered rave reviews.

Wide Open Baja Adventures and Wide Open Nevada (Off Track Nevada) have converted their entire fleets over to the HV1 transaxle with great success. In addition to logging over 130,000 off-road miles in the past year, these cars also earned a 4th place in Class 1 at the SCORE Baja 500 and a 3rd place in Class 1 at the SCORE Baja 1000. Tour cars also had a 100% finishing rate in the Baja Challenge class at the Baja 1000 and the Best in the Desert Vegas to Reno off-road races, with no transaxle related issues.

Also running an HV1 transaxle this year was Justin Davis in the Green Army Class 3000 car. Justin won the Class 3000 series with strong finishes in the last 4 races; 1st at the MORE ORAF 500, 2nd at the SNORE KC HiLites 250, 1st at the MORE Chili Cook Off (3rd overall), and 2nd at the SNORE 250. The installation of a solid linkage, mid-engine shifter designed by Weddle Industries prior to the SNORE 250 provided greatly improved shift quality.

Weddle Industries would like to congratulate Wide Open Baja, Off Track Nevada, and Green Army Motorsports on their successful 2010 seasons. We are looking forward to 2011.
